This was said around a hundred years ago by the famous scientist and Nobel prize winner, Marie Curie. The sentiment is as true now as it was then, and it is in this spirit of discovery that I welcome you to the EXCELEndo 2025! In this convention, we seek to excel by exploring cutting-edge landscapes in endocrinology. Join us as we strive to expand our mastery over the various facets of this specialty.

Endocrinology is truly a fascinating study. Nowhere else can you find such an intricate and complex interplay of tiny chemicals that act by both positive and negative feedback loops to produce this huge myriad of systemic effects. Subtle imbalances, for instance, those that can be found in subclinical thyroid diseases and mild autonomous cortisol secretion, may lead to profound effects, as you will discover in the lectures in this convention.

Moreover, endocrine disruptions can often be insidious… witness how hyperglycemia, often unfelt for many years, eventually leads to serious complications. Our accomplished speakers will delve into these as they discuss diabetes mellitus, the 5th leading cause of mortality in our country.

It is also intriguing that the field of endocrinology deals not only with minute molecules but likewise with minute organs.  Listen to our specialtists as they tackle diseases that affect that tiny pea-sized gland known as the pituitary, which masters most of the other hormones of the body.
